To optimize my resume, I put into ChatGPT the prompt, “Make this resume tailored for marketing” and attached a pdf of my resume so it could change some things. One of the biggest changes that I noticed that was made was the addition of the “objectives” header. It added in short words what I am (a psychology student), what kind of role I wanted, and what I am interested in (brand promotion, customer engagement, and content strategy). Something I realized that was actually quiet important in prompt engineering and tailoring content for different audience is how easy it is to reframe things. For example, your resume would be very different if you were to apply as a barista at Starbucks rather than a CEO level corporate job. Wording and how you explain your experiences is very important for tailoring resumes and such. It taught me how essential it is when applying to jobs.
