Scams
A big digital scam that I have heard of/seen the most is texting scams that say they are UPS. The scammers send a text saying that there is action needed for a package and it gives a link, which goes to a phishing website that takes your information and give it to bad people. The scammer does this to get your information. It works mostly for people who order a lot of packages and such online because they are expecting an update on their packages. To avoid this scam, you should remember that places like UPS or Amazon won’t send you text messages, let alone with numbers that are in your area code. You should check your Amazon app or the website in which your ordered the package from for updates regarding it.

These are the same type of scams that i’ve seen. I like that you included checking Amazon or other apps instead as a safer alternative.

Old people will definitely fall for this which is why it keeps happening. Thank you for adding context on how to avoid it!
